General Policy

A valid credit card or debit card will be required for all reservations and must be presented at check-in, along with a government issued ID, to verify a customer’s identity and for incidentals incurred throughout the stay. We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity. If you arrive after your scheduled arrival date or depart before your scheduled departure date, no refund will be provided. All renters and guests must be at least 25 years old or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All reservations are subject to either a refundable security deposit or damage insurance payment between $50.00 and $95.00. Guests are required to sign an additional contract directly with Stowe Country Homes. You may request a copy of the contract prior to booking. No parties or events permitted without written approval from Stowe Country Homes. The occupancy listed is the maximum occupancy allowed. It may differ from standard occupancy and extra person charges may apply.

Written Cancellation Policy

<br>Please read through the full cancellation policy to determine which policy applies to your travel dates. For travel dates that overlap multiple periods, the stricter policy applies. If your travel dates are not listed as a Peak Period, the Regular Season policy applies. <br> <b>REGULAR SEASON</b>: Reservations cancelled 30 or more days prior to arrival will receive a refund, less a 15% processing fee. Reservations cancelled within 30 days of arrival will forfeit the full reservation amount. <br> <b>PEAK PERIODS*</b>: Reservations cancelled 60 or more days prior to arrival will receive a refund, less a 15% processing fee. Reservations cancelled within 60 days of arrival will forfeit the full reservation amount. <br> *Travel dates containing 12/20/24 - 12/31/24, 1/17/25 - 1/19/25, 2/14/25 - 2/22/25, 12/19/25 - 1/3/26, 1/16/26 – 1/18/26, 2/13/26 – 2/21/26<br> No refunds will be issued within 30 days of arrival (60 or more days for Holiday periods), under any circumstances unless property is rerented. In the event Agent is able to re-rent the Property to another renter for the same or more rental payment as provided in this Agreement, provided however that Agent shall be under no obligation or expectation to do so, then Agent will return to Renter the security deposit and all payments made by Renter, less the 15% cancellation fee and any expenses incurred by Agent in re-renting the Property. Renter acknowledges and confirms that these remedies are reasonable liquidated damages for Renter's failure to carry out Renter's responsibilities under this Agreement.

Written Deposit Policy

The full cost of the reservation will be charged at the time of booking.<br><br> <b>SECURITY DEPOSIT</b><br> At Stowe Country Homes we offer Security Deposit Protection through a third party service. This policy protects you as the renter, as well as the rentee. The Security Deposit Protection protects you from financial burden for losses due to damages that occur accidentally within the property while you occupy the residence. Contact Stowe Country Homes for a copy of the brochure by CSA. It does not cover any costs due to intentional acts, gross negligence or willful conduct by you or your traveling companions. Any additional cleaning or maintenance expense incurred due to smoking in the residence, unapproved pets in the residence, key locked in residence, furniture rearranged but not returned to original position, windows left open, not honoring check-out time, or any damage caused by gross negligence or willful conduct by you or your travel companions will be charged immediately to your credit card. If we do not have a card on file, payment to STOWE COUNTRY HOMES for the full amount is due within thirty days of receipt. The Security Deposit Protection is included with all Stowe Country Homes reservations, unless specifically waived by the owner of the property. If you do not purchase the Security Deposit Protection, you are liable for damages, accidental or intentional, to the limit of the security deposit, which is typically equal to one night stay. Any additional cleaning or maintenance expense due to smoking in the residence, unapproved pets in the residence, key locked in residence, furniture rearranged but not returned to original position, windows left open, not honoring check-out time or any damage caused by gross negligence or will full conduct by your or your travel companions will be charged immediately to your credit card. If any guest smokes in residence during their stay, the entire amount of security deposit will be charged immediately.

Check In

Detailed check-in procedures specifically tailored to the property you have rented are sent automatically via email and text in our digital Guestbook during the week prior to your arrival. (Please note that last-minute reservations do not follow this timeline.) The digital Guestbook contains information specific to your rental property and includes the most up-to-date information possible. Please be sure to open the link you receive and read the information before arriving in town, as you will need it for your arrival and stay.
