The Grey Fox Inn is a 34-room boutique hotel in the heart of Stowe. Located on Mountain Road, Grey Fox is within walking distance to Stowe Village and five miles from Stowe Mountain Resort. The West Branch River runs through the far end of their 7.5 acre property, as does the popular Stowe Recreation Path. The Inn has been under new ownership since July 2017. All rooms are fully renovated with new pillowtop beds, new furniture, conveniently located USB ports, 43-inch and 55-inch smart TV’s, and a new property-wide fiber optic WiFi network.

Policies

General Policy
A valid credit card or debit card will be required for all reservations and must be presented at check-in, along with a government issued ID, to verify a customer’s identity and for incidentals incurred throughout the stay. We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity. <br><br> Your deposit will be forfeited should you arrive a day or more late or depart a day or more early from your confirmed reservation; you will be charged the *full reservation amount* confirmed at the time of booking. In the case of inclement weather or illness, this cancellation policy remains in place. We recommend purchasing travel insurance. <br><br>All Inn accommodations are non-smoking and we do not permit pets. A $250 fee will be charged for each night of stay if this policy is not strictly followed. <br><br> Please note we do *not* provide rollaway beds or cribs for guest rooms.
Written Cancellation Policy
Please read through the full cancellation policy to determine which policy applies to your travel dates. For travel dates that overlap multiple periods, the stricter policy applies. If your travel dates are not listed as a Peak Period, the Regular Season policy applies. <br> <b>REGULAR SEASON</b>: Reservations cancelled more than 7 days prior to arrival will receive a refund, less a 5% processing fee and $30 administrative fee. Reservations cancelled 7 or less days prior to arrival will forfeit the cost of a one-night stay inclusive of taxes and fees, and will be refunded the remainder. <br> <b>PEAK PERIODS*</b>: Reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to arrival will receive a refund, less a 5% processing fee and $30 administrative fee. Reservations cancelled 14 or less days prior to arrival will forfeit 50% of their reservation amount or the cost of a one-night stay inclusive of taxes and fees, whichever is greater. Any remainder will be refunded.<br> *Travel dates containing 9/19/25 - 10/18/25, 12/19/25 - 12/31/25, 1/16/26 – 1/18/26, 2/13/26 – 2/21/26
Written Deposit Policy
The full cost of the reservation will be charged at the time of booking.
Check In
Check in time is 4:00 PM with major credit card. Please be aware our reception desk is not open 24 hours. If your planned arrival time is after 9pm, please call us at 1-800-544-8454 or email sales@greyfoxinn.com.
Check Out
Check out time is by 11:00 AM. Late departure fees are in effect.
Pets Policy
We do not permit pets. Only service animals are permitted.
Other Policy
Rooms are based on double occupancy. A $10 fee for additional occupants is automatically calculated and included in the total room rate.
