Written Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policies: Any and all changes or cancellations must be made directly through Gateway Reservations, not the provider. The lodging or activity provider's cancellation policies are applicable when reserving non-package reservations. Any valid non-package refund will be paid less a 10% cancel fee. Travel insurance is available for purchase at the time of booking. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Packages: Packages are defined as itineraries that include lodging plus any other itinerary item(s). Changes to confirmed packages may incur a $26 change fee. Packages canceled more than 7 days from arrival will incur a $50 cancellation fee. There is no refund for packages or packaged itinerary items canceled within 7 days of arrival or during your trip. A future stay credit less applicable cancel fees may be applied to customer's account. Packaged itinerary items may be subject to the providers' cancellation policies, if stricter than Gateway Reservations' policies. There are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures. Travel insurance is available for purchase at the time of booking. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Amtrak Train Tickets: Amtrak's change and cancellation policies are based on the type of fare purchased (Saver, Value, Flexible, Business, and Premium). Saver Fares have stricter policies and may be non-refundable 24 hours or more after booking but may receive a 75% non-refundable eVoucher for future travel. The trip insurance premium is not refundable if the covered itinerary is canceled. Written Deposit Policy
Payments: A credit/debit card is the preferred method of payment. Please call a Travel Specialist at 800.828.4228 to make payment. Please note that the credit/debit card on file will automatically be charged for any itinerary balance due unless previous arrangements have been made. A deposit placed on a reservation constitutes a payment and acceptance of the reservation and cancellation policies. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Written Deposit Policy: (1) Night's lodging deposit plus 100% of activities, train tickets, transportation reservations, and trip insurance are due at time of booking. Itinerary balance payment is due 30 days prior to arrival, and the credit/debit card on file will be charged at that time unless other payment arrangements have been previously made. Some lodging and activity providers may require different deposit and cancellation policies, which would supersede Gateway Reservations' standard policies.
