Kasees is noted for its warm and friendly mountain lodge atmosphere. In the style of traditional mountain lodges, it has a guest lounge with large log fire, piano, music, board games and books for relaxing apres-ski. The lounge is also a great place to curl up on bad weather days, and to meet other guests. Kasees also has a traditional Finnish sauna for reviving and relaxing after an energetic day on the mountain (winter or summer). It is available for use by guests from mid afternoon to evening. Kasees features balconies and windows with fantastic views of the mountain and valley, a great place to view the Thredbo flare run on Saturday nights or a special place for a pre-dinner drink in the setting sun in summer. Kasees has a well established and sheltered garden which flowers all summer and includes a covered BBQ and garden furniture. Kasees is an ideal venue for group bookings (booking the entire lodge) such as weddings, family reunions and birthday weekends away. It is a small intimate lodge offering private facilities as well as communal areas with a cosy atmosphere - the lounge room and garden - where guests can gather. Kasees provides car parking on site - one car per apartment - which in winter is restricted to those with long stay bookings (5 days or longer). Kasees provides a communal drying room with washing facilities, as well as ski and board lock-up. Kasees has a non-smoking policy in the guest lounge and in the apartments and kindly asks guests to smoke outside. The village shuttle bus stops directly next door to Kasees in winter for easy access to the ski slopes. However, being centrally located in the village directly opposite Mt Crackenback, it is only a 5 minute walk from Kasees to the Valley Terminal building, the base for the Kosciuszko Express chairlift. The Valley Terminal also houses the ticket office for lifts, ski school and sporting facilities, ski hire, retail and tuning, and the medical centre. The tennis courts, bobsled, mountain bike hire, golf course and Thredbo Leisure Centre (gym, squash court, sports hall, swimming pool) are also a short walk away. Kasees is very close to the central pedestrian mall which houses many of the villages eateries, clothing and ski retail, pharmacy, supermarket, bakery, post office and bottle shops.

Written Cancellation Policy
All prices displayed are in AUD. Prices are subject to currency adjustment either up or down until booking is paid in full. You may pay in full at the time of booking to lock in your exchange rate, otherwise your final payment may be subject to change based on currency fluctuations. You are making a booking with Absolute Travel Enterprises Pty Ltd t/as Ski Travel Company (ABN: 28166129282). PAYMENT: The Ski Travel Company accept payment via VISA or MASTERCARD or DIRECT DEPOSIT. A 1.5% surcharge applies to all payments by visa or mastercard. Prices are subject to currency fluctuations until booking is paid in full. CANCELLATIONS: Minimum cancellation fee is 20% of total booking cost will be payable for cancellations at any time. Any charges passed on by our suppliers will also be payable. Typically cancellations within 80 days of departure will incur additional charges or fees as levied by the hotels, apartments or operators which in many cases can be as high as 100%. Please note all deposits are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel you are advised to contact our support centre. AMENDMENTS: If you want to change any details of your itinerary (such as eg travel dates or different hotel), we will do our best to help, but cannot guarantee that the changes can be made. You should call our Support Centre on (02) 9810 1000 in normal business hours (AEST). An amendment fee of $50 will be payable per change, as well as any additional costs passed on to us by our suppliers as a result of the change. The price of your new arrangements will be based on the prices that apply on the day you ask for a change. These prices may not be the same as when you booked the products or services. In some cases amendments may not be possible. COSTING & RESERVATIONS are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking. Actual prices are displayed in our booking engine and may be subject to change without notice. Costs within the Ski Travel Company booking engine are expressed and processed in AUSTRALIAN dollars. Prices may change on a daily basis due to exchange rate fluctuations and are not final until bookings are paid in full. AIR FARES: Any airfares quoted include taxes but may or may not include checked baggage, meals or entertainment depending on the conditions of the fare. All airfare prices are subject to change until the day of payment and ticketing. Increases in fares and taxes are beyond the control of Ski Travel Company and are not negotiable. NO FEES ARE CHARGED for online bookings made on www.skitravelcompany.com.au however credit card surcharges apply. STC support staff are available to take phone reservations in normal business hours (AEST). Any verbal quote provided by STC is an estimate only of the price. TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend that all travellers be insured to cover against cancellation, personal liability and theft of your personal belongings (including ski/snowboard equipment). Ask your consultant now for a quote for comprehensive travel insurance for your ski holiday. PHOTOS AND INFORMATION: Any photos and descriptions provided by the Ski Travel Company should be considered as an example only and may differ from the actual product you have purchased. While we make every effort to provide accurate and correct information, the Ski Travel Company will not be held liable for any errors or omissions relating to the description or display of products within our website or booking engine. PASSPORTS & VISAS: A valid passport (with a validity of at least 6 months after return date) is required for all persons departing from Australia and non-Australian a valid Australian re-entry visa to return. VISITING CANADA and the USA: Visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Written Deposit Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking for all travel within 60 days. For bookings made more than 60 days in advance, please ask your consultant for deposit and final payment requirements or refer to the payment schedule specified in your quote. The following payment methods are accepted: Credit Cards: VISA or MASTERCARD only A 1.5% surcharge applies to all payments by credit card. For those arriving by bus/shuttle, please tell us what time your bus arrives; you will be able to ‘store’ luggage in our top entrance if you arrive early. Note if your bus drops you at the Thredbo Information Centre, you can then take the village bus #2 up to Kasees. We have specific vehicle parking and bike storage details, conditions and restrictions: 1. https://www.kasees.com.au/features-and-galleries/our-thredbo-village-parking 2. https://www.kasees.com.au/about/bike-storage PLEASE NOTE that large dual cab utes including those with rear trays; vans; trailers; mini-buses or similarly long and large vehicles; and vehicles with rear bike racks are NOT, in most instances, able to park in the driveway. If this is the case on the day, after unloading you will be shown the options for free village car parking. ADDITIONAL PAYMENT will be requested from guests for: any damage to apartments and fittings, furnishings, equipment; damage to communal lodge areas; loss of apartment or ski/board keys or locks; any additional cleaning or maintenance required if an apartment is left in a dirty or damaged condition.
Pets Policy
No pets are allowed in Kosciuszko National Park. There is an exception for companion animals - please refer to the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service website.
