Driving Directions: If driving from Calgary to Banff, take the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) west to the Banff exit, and follow the signs a short distance to Banff townsite. Approximate distance from the Calgary International Airport to the Banff townsite is 145 km (90 miles). Allow 1.5 - 2 hours of driving time. Take Banff Avenue and turn left on Moose Street. Turn left on Tunnel Mountain Road and go up the hill until you see some hotels. The Douglas Fir will be on the right side of the road at the top of the hill.
